Pokemon Go Tips/Tricks Compilation

Since everyone is playing this game right now, I am playing on behave of my lovely daughter as well.  shhh....

The game itself seems so complex as it does not explain much when you join the game.  As a late comer, I have to google online to look for answers.  Unsurprisingly, there are tons of information on the web and it takes time to go through them all; lots of them are duplicate information anyway.  Here I compiled a list of good source for me to get all things that I need to know.

That's all.  Gotta catch 'em all!

2016-08-03  Pokemon Fever is over?

  • Is it over?  The number of people playing Pokemon Go dropped to dramatically.  I hardly see anyone playing on the street now.
  • Personally, I have leveled up to 21 and now it is stale.  It is not easy to level up further.  Pokemons are much harder to catch than before.  Wasting some many Pokeball just to catch Pidgey, even it is a green circle.  I call it cheating, Nintendo.
  • Powering up Pokemon is basically useless.  Yes, higher CP is easier to take over gyms, but it does not make you easier to secure these gyms.   A newbie with six 800+ CP can easily take up a 2000+ CP Pokemon.
  • What's the goal besides collecting all Pokemons anyway?
  • What's the goal to take over these gyms besides the lousy 10 in-game coins per gym per 21-hour?
  • Nintendo, Pokemon Go introduces a new gaming concept to the whole world.  Don't screw it up.  Come up with new ideas to make this game viable.  Provide chat opton, let winner hold the gyms for a minimum fixed period of time, 1 hour?  don't cheat on the stats, PvP options or even GvG, make different types of gyms that give different rewards, some with coins, some with stardusts, some with Pokeballs, etc.
  • Come on, you are one of the most creative company in the world.  Think of something!

The Bose Soundbar 700 Won't Connect to App

Bose has one of the best speaker sound. I learnt about Bose more than 25 years ago and still a fan.  I bought Soundbar 700 in 2018.  It took me a while to set it up but it has been giving me troubles once a while.  Recently, I was not able to connect Soundbar 700 with my phone.  Done the factory reset on the soundbar, it didn't work. I spent hours reseting everything multiple times and finally I found this article,  https://www.bose.com.au/en_au/support/articles/HC1380/productCodes/bose_soundbar_700/article.html .  Tweaking them all and finally got it to work again. I think the most important setting is to TURN WPS OFF on the router!  Hope it helps.

Restricted enrolment schools (Melbourne Eastern Region)

Due to facility limitations, Eastern Metropolitan Region has a number of schools with enrolments restricted in various ways. These schools are not required to enrol students outside their neighbourhood area unless they have spare places. They are referred to as having an enrolment ceiling and/or a designated neighbourhood area (formerly known as zones).  Any additional students must be enrolled strictly according to Department of Education and Early Childhood Development priority criteria. SCHOOLS WITH AN APPROVED ENROLMENT UNDERSTANDING Designated Neighbourhood Area In some instances the Regional Director may need to restrict new enrolments at a particular school and will therefore specifically designate the neighbourhood area (formerly referred to as a zone).  Children who live outside the Designated Neighbourhood Area cannot be guaranteed a place at that school even if it is their closest neighbourhood school.  The the following schools have an apporved ...
