Toddler - Separation anxiety

At around 2.5 year of age, a lot of toddlers can become quite anxious when mum or dad is not around. It may seem odd especially if they were more relaxed about this before, but it is in fact very
normal. They realise that mum or dad is not there and they wonder if they are going to come back.

Some toddlers can wake up during the night screaming; others will scream and cry when you leave the room even for a short period. This is usually out grown between ages 3 to 4 years. In the meantime, here are some things you can do to help reduce both
yours and their anxiety when you need to leave them in someone else's care.

  • Put on a brave front. If you appear relaxed and confident they will respond to your behaviour.
  • Prepare them. Talk to your child about what will happen, who will look after them and when you will return.
  • Don't do the 'long goodbye'. Hug and kiss them, say goodbye and go. The longer you take, the more worked up they will get.
  • Don't sneak away when they are not looking. They won't let you out of their sight next time.
  • Let them keep a toy or teddy they love with them.
  • Persist even if it is hard for both of you.
Most importantly, take comfort in the fact that they will outgrow this phase soon.

The Bose Soundbar 700 Won't Connect to App

Bose has one of the best speaker sound. I learnt about Bose more than 25 years ago and still a fan.  I bought Soundbar 700 in 2018.  It took me a while to set it up but it has been giving me troubles once a while.  Recently, I was not able to connect Soundbar 700 with my phone.  Done the factory reset on the soundbar, it didn't work. I spent hours reseting everything multiple times and finally I found this article,  https://www.bose.com.au/en_au/support/articles/HC1380/productCodes/bose_soundbar_700/article.html .  Tweaking them all and finally got it to work again. I think the most important setting is to TURN WPS OFF on the router!  Hope it helps.

Restricted enrolment schools (Melbourne Eastern Region)

Due to facility limitations, Eastern Metropolitan Region has a number of schools with enrolments restricted in various ways. These schools are not required to enrol students outside their neighbourhood area unless they have spare places. They are referred to as having an enrolment ceiling and/or a designated neighbourhood area (formerly known as zones).  Any additional students must be enrolled strictly according to Department of Education and Early Childhood Development priority criteria. SCHOOLS WITH AN APPROVED ENROLMENT UNDERSTANDING Designated Neighbourhood Area In some instances the Regional Director may need to restrict new enrolments at a particular school and will therefore specifically designate the neighbourhood area (formerly referred to as a zone).  Children who live outside the Designated Neighbourhood Area cannot be guaranteed a place at that school even if it is their closest neighbourhood school.  The the following schools have an apporved ...
